Lama Chodpa Incense, a Pure Natural Tibetan Monastic incense from the Himalayan village of Tashi Jong, is 100 % natural and Handmade.
Tibetan tradition is strictly adhered to when making Lama Chodpa incense.
It is made of 31 medicinal herbs and other natural precious substances that lend the incense a blissful touch.
The artisanal process mandates using the purest possible and precious substances in exact proportions, one of the ingredients being the object of a 9-day blessing ceremony for 12 hours a day by 150 monks.
Carefully dried ingredients are individually ground (using a pestle and mortar), blended by hand, mixed into a paste which is squeezed into 5 or 8 inch lengths and then dried. They are then hand packed in protective cardboard tubing, enveloped in screen printed hand-made paper and wax sealed using an auspicious sign seal.
Lama Chodpa Incense is produced through the efforts of a charitable society Friends of Nub Gon Monastery (named after the Nub Gon monastery). Lama Chodpa Incense is made of 31 medicinal herbs and hand prepared traditionally according to the instructions of ancient Tibetan manuscripts.
